Labiaplasty

Women’s labias come in all different shapes and sizes. And even though it’s normal to have a labia that’s not shaped “normally”, that doesn’t mean that you have to be comfortable with it. We can reconstruct your labia so that it’s not just normal, but what YOU want it to be.

The labiaplasty procedure is completed in the office under local anesthesia. The procedure is designed to sculpt the labia by reducing and reshaping the long or uneven labia.

Please know that women can be born with large labias. Also, labias can enlarge through age or childbirth.

As mentioned previously, labias can change in size and shape due to many factors which include childbirth and age. Long labias may interfere with exercise, intercourse and could cause embarrassment when wearing tight fighting or revealing clothing.

Reasons for labiaplasty

  2. You are self conscious due to the appearance.

  3. Your labia becomes irritated when sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time.

  4. You experience discomfort or irritation during sex.

  5. You are unable to wear certain clothes without being insecure.

What are the different techniques of labiaplasty?

There are two popular technique to perform labiaplasty:

  • Linear resection or V or W wedge.

  • We offer both procedures in our office. Dr. Hardas will recommend which technique will work best for you based on your initial consultation.

What is a citoral hoodoplasty surgery? Who needs it?

Many women who request labiaplasty surgery also request to reduce the side of their clitoris hood. Some women request this procedure as a stand alone procedure as excess skin on the clitoris
